Virtual Colonoscopy

Using the data from the ultra-fast multi-level CT scanner it is possible to produce three-dimensional images, which are compatible with the images from an optical endoscope. Furthermore, this process provides views from all angles in a way that is impossible to achieve with the conventional colonoscopy.

In particular the following diagnoses are possible:

1. small polyps >3mm
2. small tumors
3. colon irritable
4. chronic diverticular disease
5. stenosis
6. congenital anomaly of the bowel
